RiME’s initial name was Siren, but it could be mistaken with Forbidden Siren horror game. One of the producers from Sony back then came up with the idea to name it after The Rime of the Ancient Mariner poem. And we’re not talking about the Iron Maiden song. We’re talking about the ancient 18th century poem which themes really resonated with the game.

And the rest is history.
